The King’s College London Bar and Mooting Society offers unrivalled mooting and networking opportunities for students. We offer vocational events including networking and panel sessions. We also offer students high quality mooting training and experience, with recent competitions taking place in the Royal Courts of Justice and the Supreme Court.
In 2018/19 KCLBMS launched a Diversity Series, focussing on increasing diversity at the Bar and breaking down barriers. In 2019/20 we will continue with the Diversity Series with a specific focus on Social Mobility. We will work closely with the student population to help those from non-traditional backgrounds reach their potential at the English Bar.
Our society's patron is Mr Justice David Foskett KBE, High Court Judge.
We are particularly proud of:
The King’s College London BPP Advocate of the Year team placing Second in the Regional Finals. The team was comprised of Tristan Greene, Hollie Hamblett, Quentin Schafer, and Eleanor Tack (all KCLBMS Committee members at the time).
Tristan Greene (Mooting Officer) winning the BPP Advocate of the Year competition 2019 and a £6,000 Scholarship towards his BPTC.
